A highly obscure piece of late-90s Southern underground hip-hop. This is a factory-sealed cassette of Third Eye Militia's Buried Alive, independently released in 1999.
A true product of the grassroots regional mixtape and independent album hustle, this project delivers a raw, uncut G-Funk and gangsta rap sound. The deeply unusual, eerie cover art—featuring floating faces in the clouds above a dark skyline and a submerged fetus—perfectly captures the DIY aesthetic of turn-of-the-century underground rap releases.
