In Memory of a Gangsta Rap Superstar.
Released in June 1995 (Issue #69), this historic edition of The Source stands as one of the most important issues in the publication's history. Hitting newsstands shortly after the tragic passing of Eric "Eazy-E" Wright, this memorial cover pays tribute to the godfather of gangsta rap and the visionary founder of Ruthless Records.
This issue is an essential piece of West Coast hip-hop history and a highly sought-after collectible for N.W.A. archivists. (Bonus: The back cover features a vintage 1995 Tommy Boy Records advertisement for Ill Al Skratch and the 'New Jersey Drive' motion picture soundtrack).
Condition Disclosure (Please Read Carefully):
This is a low-grade, heavily read vintage copy. The magazine is complete, but exhibits severe cosmetic and structural wear. The solid black front cover shows heavy surface scuffing and scratching. The spine is heavily worn, featuring significant color-breaking stress ticks, deep creasing, and active tearing/splitting along the fold. The back cover exhibits corner folding, edge chipping, and surface discoloration on the white borders. It has not been professionally graded. Please review all photos carefully before purchasing to ensure you are comfortable with the condition.
