Rap Pages Magazine - September 1997 - EPMD Cover (Back in Business)

Erick and Parrish Making Dollars.

Released in September 1997, this issue of Rap Pages documents the highly anticipated reunion of the legendary duo EPMD. Following their bitter split in 1993, Erick Sermon and Parrish Smith reunited for the Back in Business album, marking a crucial moment for 90s boom-bap purists.

As a West Coast publication, Rap Pages dedicating a cover feature to Long Island royalty underscores the massive cultural impact of EPMD's return. The issue also includes features on Missy Elliott (during her Supa Dupa Fly era), Wyclef Jean, and Rampage. (Bonus: The back cover features a vintage 1997 advertisement for West Coast pioneer Frost and his album 'When Hell.A. Freezes Over', released on Eazy-E's Ruthless Records).
