Capitalizing on the massive success of Dr. Dre's 2001, this cover story captures Snoop Dogg cementing his legacy by launching his own Long Beach crew.

This issue is a fantastic snapshot of Y2K hip-hop, featuring a diverse supporting lineup including Chicago's Common, Native Tongues legends De La Soul, Cash Money's Big Tymers, Freddie Foxxx, and West Coast radio pioneer Julio G.
