New Album. New Musical Style. Same Dope MC.
Released in December 1997, this issue of Rap Pages features Chicago's own Common on the cover during the pivotal One Day It'll All Make Sense era. Capturing Common as he began to lay the groundwork for what would eventually become the Soulquarians movement, this issue is a must-have for fans of the late-90s underground and conscious hip-hop renaissance.
The issue is packed with incredible supporting features, including deep dives on Gravediggaz, The Luniz, Hurricane G, and Crooked Lettaz. (Bonus: The back cover features a vibrant vintage 1997 advertisement for Timbaland & Magoo's debut album, 'Welcome to Our World', promoting the hit single "Up Jumps Da Boogie").
Condition Disclosure (Please Read):
This is a raw, vintage reading copy. The magazine is 100% complete. The white front cover presents beautifully and hides surface wear well, but there is a distinct diagonal crease/fold on the bottom-left corner near the barcode, along with minor edge wear. The back cover exhibits some crinkling and handling stress along the spine fold. It has not been professionally graded. Please review all photos carefully before purchasing.
